Senior Men’s County Championships
Our Senior County Championships were hosted by Hendon
Day 1of our Middlesex Men’s Senior Championships was played on a blustery day. 57 men competed over the 36 hole event. The top 15 players qualified for Day 2. However, there were still some prizes on offer on the first day. The low Nett Winner was home favourite Tshekedi Rose fromHendon Golf Club, with a nett score of 5 under 65. The runner up was Patrick Walsh fromCrews Hill GCwith a nett score of 3 under 67,
Our over 55 Winner is also Patrick Walsh with a gross score of 72.
Our over 60 Winner is Simon Westgarth fromFulwell GCwith a gross score of 71.
Our over 65 Winner is Matt Bayford fromHendon GCwith a gross score of 77.
Our over 70 Winner is Tom Powell fromMill Hill GCwith a gross score of 78.
The team Winners were home favouritesHendon GC, with a gross total of +27. Runners Up areEaling GC.
Day 2saw the top 15 qualifiers battle it out to beMen’s Senior Champion Golfer of the Year.
There were some good scores butSimon Westgarthran out to be our worthy winner with scores of 71 & 72 to pipPatrick Walshinto second place. Well done Simon who now goes on to represent Middlesex in the Senior Champion of Champions event at Woodhall Spa on 13-14th September. Good luck Simon!
