The Middlesex Handicap Championships
The Middlesex Individual Team Championships were held at Enfield GC on Friday 19th September.
The Middlesex Handicap Championship was held atEnfield Golf Clubon a balmy late summer’s day.
The home club put out a strong contingent and even fielded two sides in the Team Competition.
Home advantage proved decisive in the Team Comp as Enfield 1, ran out worthy winners with 103 points in the best 3 scores from 4 competition. (Team comprised Dickie Smart, Peter Ives, Aubrey Stronach and Gary Casey). Enfield 2 andNorth Middlesex GCwere joint second with 99 points.
In the Individual competition Peter Ives fromEnfield GCwas third, Jacky Wonghen from Grims Dyke GC was Runner Up on count-back, but our champion for 2025 is Gurmit Sanghera. What a lovely way to celebrate his Captain’s year atNorth Middlesex GC.
Thanks toEnfield GC, the course was in magnificent shape. Thanks to the bar & catering team. The food was fabulous. Thanks to the volunteers and referees. Lastly, thanks to all of the competitors taking part.
